Dan Squires, PhD, Principal

Dan is the founder and principal at Anderson-Squires, LLC, which is headquartered in the Providence, RI area. Dan focuses most of his time on working with business leaders and teams to accelerate their leadership development and effectiveness. In addition to Anderson-Squires, Dan has been on the faculty at Brown University since 2006, and recently cofounded a new venture focused on developing cutting-edge assessment tools and strategies to enhance executive, team and organizational development. Dan has worked with business leaders for over 15 years.

Dan began working with business leaders and their teams in 2002. He has worked with diverse organizations operating in demanding, dynamic environments, spanning private, public, academic, and government agencies, including in-depth development of several prominent leaders of publicly traded companies.

Effective leadership doesn’t happen by accident. While select leadership qualities come more naturally to some, great leaders are made through a combination of challenging work and life experiences, grit, and a desire to achieve big things—both from within and beyond themselves. Paul’s major expertise includes organizational measurement strategies, survey design and questionnaire development, 360 degree feedback, leadership assessment and leadership development. He has extensive training and experience in psychometrics. He co-authored many 360 feedback surveys with Dr. Clark Wilson, one of the originators of the 360 feedback concept. Doug cut his professional teeth as a Washington, D.C.-area journalist, won a few accolades along the way, even managed to get interviewed by Mike Wallace for a “60 Minutes” piece.
