CORE VALUES
The Marine Corps is a force rich in history and traditions and ingrained with the highest values of Honor, Courage and Commitment. These three core values are the very soul of our institution. They frame the way Marines live and act. As a result, Marines are men and women of character, widely recognized for their moral excellence, selfless courage, committed principles and sound judgment. Strict adherence to these three simple, yet meaningful core values provide Marines with the moral compass that helps make the right decisions even in the shifting winds of adversity. For Marines, there are no ' shades of gray ' when it comes to Honor, Courage or Commitment.
MISSION OF LEADERSHIP CHALLENGE:
Provide simple and proven effective methods of leadership. We then place managers into real life stressful situations so they can experience leadership responsibility. They can then apply the methods to their own jobs becoming more than just a manager.
The course is designed to expose managers to responsive or reflex leadership. Leadership that is based on tried and simple proven methods used by the United States Marine Corps and built around the small unit team leadership. By challenging managers to make fast decisions under stress and conditions of limited time, they get the opportunity to apply flexibility and ingenuity.
APPLICATION:
During the course the members select leaders. At each stage of training the leaders will be changed giving the maximum opportunity for challenge. A tight schedule and combat like conditions provide stress. All training is performed in the desert (very similar to condition experienced by our military troops) and will provide some stress. Creature comforts and resting time will be limited to further enhance the stress effect.
Ex-Military personnel will instruct and monitor each step of the training. The course will emphasize leadership at all levels and will provide guidelines for good business practices and methods of personnel leadership.
Each person will be issued a uniform just like the military uses and it will be theirs to keep when they complete the course. Also members will be issued a weapon (AirSoft Gun) while participating in the missions. Military equipment such as binoculars and night vision scopes will be used on each mission. Each student will learn to read a map and use a compass. The course teaches everyone how to NEVER get lost even without a map.
